At the ABB research center located in Baden-Dättwil in the proximity of Zurich, we work on cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of our products. The Industrial Software Systems research team explores topics like machine learning, cybersecurity, computer networking, distributed systems, and real-time systems. Our solutions are used to support the development of next-generation digital products and services of ABB.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • Hands-on experience in software engineering and system design

  • Deep theoretical and practical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: OT security, computer security, distributed systems, embedded systems, secure communications, or applied cryptography

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Rust

  • Proven publication track record at top-tier scientific venues

  • Proven ability to drive ideas from concept to working prototype

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset across multidisciplinary teams
