Assurance, Risk & Internal Controls (ARIC) Transformation Lead

Own the program-wide framework for assurance, risk, and internal controls, aligned with ABB policies, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards, including the ARIC Handbook Lead the IC SMEs team to deliver the future‑state internal control and GRC design for SAP S/4HANA, including manual and automated controls Coordinate and align IT, business area and process internal controls & compliance leads, ensuring consistent implementation of controls, roles, and access governance across ABB Act as the primary interface to Internal Audit, external auditors, and corporate assurance functions, supporting audit readiness, stage‑gate decisions, and timely remediation of findings Report regularly to program governance bodies on risk exposure, control design maturity, authorization readiness, and remediation progress Provide regular reporting and insights to program governance bodies on control maturity, risks, and remediation progress

Team / Beschreibung

ABB's Data & Systems Modernization (DSM) Program is a multi-years, company-wide initiative to modernize and harmonize ABB's data and systems landscape. DSM aims to simplify complexity, improve governance and data quality, and enable a common roadmap for enterprise platforms and ERP evolution, supporting better, faster decision-making and scalable operations across regions, functions, and business areas.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • 10+ years of experience in assurance, risk management, and internal controls within large, complex, multinational organizations

  • Experience with ERP transformation programs, including SAP S/4HANA

  • Experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm with exposure to SOX and ERP transformation projects preferrable

  • Solid knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs), Automated Control environments (ITACs)

  • Demonstrated skill in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders without formal managerial authority

  • Experience operating at the intersection of Business, IT, and Risk, with a solid governance and transformation mindset

  • Structured, pragmatic approach with the ability to balance compliance requirements and business enablement

  • Highly effective communicator with the credibility and presence to work well with program leadership and business stakeholders
