We are looking for a dynamic, integrative, and collaborative personality, with extensive clinical expertise and scientific experience in traumatology, particularly in polytrauma research and the care of polytrauma patients. As you will take on the leadership of the Department of Traumatology, you should have experience in leading or serving as deputy head of a university hospital department. In addition, you should have comprehensive experience in leading a research group, acquiring competitive third-party funding, and contributing to student teaching, supervision of academic theses, and the promotion of early-career researchers.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • A habilitation or an equivalent academic qualification

  • Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System

  • Subspecialty certification in spinal surgery or an equivalent foreign qualification

  • Willingness to cooperate with related disciplines at USZ and the University Hospital Balgrist

  • German language skills at level B2 of the common European framework of reference for languages should be available or must be acquired within a reasonable period of time
