Electronics Technician

Maintenance and consolidation of quench detection system (QDS) electronics in the LHC tunnel. Test and commissioning of QDS systems in the LHC tunnel. Support to the operation and maintenance of functional test systems for QDS electronics.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten
Experience in analog and digital electronics, including the assembly of electronic crates and circuit boards.
Experience in the assembly, basic testing, operation, and routine maintenance of electronic systems.
Experience with testing and measurement of analog and digital electronic circuits, using standard laboratory instrumentation.
Experience in cable assembly and connectorisation, with application of basic EMC good practices.
Good knowledge of electronics (analog and digital).
Strong team-building skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Strong willingness to learn and continuously improve.
Basic knowledge in Python would be an asset.
Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language.
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Electronics Technician (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma.
You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
Applicants with a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree are not eligible.
