Perform market analysis on renewables and smart grid topics Derive system and product requirements based on the market analysis Define high-level functional architectures for future solutions Simulate future energy scenarios and technologies Model emerging technologies across power system levels (e.g. DC grids, electro-mobility, energy storage, electrolyzes and fuel cells, demand response, etc.) Develop, maintain and document new techno-economic assessment tools for simulating behavior of energy systems on different time scale Build future energy scenarios on regional and global scales

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • Currently pursuing a M.S. degree in electrical engineering or completed a similar M.S. degree less than 12 months ago

  • Familiar with optimization solvers (e.g., Gurobi) integrated into simulation workflows developed in MATLAB and Python

  • Experience with renewable energy and smart grid technologies, solutions, and concepts, combined with proficiency in power system analysis tools such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, or similar

  • Excellent communicator in English, both in writing and speaking

  • Background in the following power system topics: steady-state and dynamic stability analysis and modeling, fault analysis and power system protection, energy and ancillary service markets

  • Self-starter with a strong willingness to learn, capable of working independently while also being a reliable and collaborative team player
