The Global Head of Sales and Business Development for Drug Products is responsible for leading the global sales strategy, execution, and revenue growth of the organization’s drug product portfolio. This role will focus on commercializing drug product manufacturing and services while further developing the global sales team and strengthening business development activities. Define and execute the global sales strategy for the drug product business unit, aligning with company goals and growth objectives. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, emerging trends, and customer needs in the drug product space (clinical through commercial). Partner with executive leadership to shape long-term business development initiatives. Drive global revenue generation across drug product services, including formulation, fill-finish, and packaging. Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key clients (pharma, biotech, generics). Negotiate and close complex, high-value deals and long-term contracts. Lead, develop, and mentor a global sales team across multiple regions (North America, Europe). Establish clear performance targets and ensure accountability through KPIs, forecasting, and pipeline management. Foster a high-performance, customer-centric sales culture. Partner with marketing, R&D;, operations, and project management to ensure seamless client engagement. Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to guide product development and service innovation. Collaborate with supply chain and operations to ensure capacity and capabilities meet customer demand. Own global revenue targets and sales budget for the drug product business. Monitor pricing strategies, margin performance, and profitability. Report regularly to executive leadership on pipeline, performance, and forecast.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten
a proven track record in selling drug product development & manufacturing services (e.g., formulation, OSD, sterile fill-finish, aseptic processing, packaging)
significant commercial leadership in the pharmaceutical/biopharma CDMO sector, including managing multi-million-dollar revenue portfolios
expertise in designing and implementing commercial strategies (including customer segmentation, technology priority, and geographic focus). You are both shaping the plan and driving its execution.
experience across several drug product technologies (oral solids, sterile injectables, fill-finish, ophthalmics, spray drying)
active relationships with External Manufacturing or Strategic Sourcing functions. and exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
having experience with integrating or connecting drug substance + drug product portfolio commercial strategy would be an added value
strong Leadership competencies, in particular, you have demonstrated your ability to empower people, drive business growth and Excel operationally as a network, make decisions, act reliably and accountably, foster innovation and excellence, foster customer intimacy, Deliver quality and value
an advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or Business; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
