Participation in various R&D; projects for Apparel Within this frame work: research & ideation (ideas, know-how, standards, patents, store checks…), creating technical sketches, mock-up development, prototype sewing, defining test procedures, preparation of test specimen, conducting tests, documentation & analyzation of test results, documentation & presentation of ideas & findings. Support in Lab maintenance Within this frame work: various tasks to maintain the Lab with its machinery and materials as a great open space to develop prototypes for all Designers & Developers at Mammut Support in event organization Within that frame work: support in organizing and conducting any event which might be organized by the Lab such as Open Lab Days etc.

Would you like to be part of our R&D; team and be the driving force behind the MAMMUT Development Lab, working with designers and developers to create the products of tomorrow? Then you've come to the right place. We are looking for an intern who loves to work holistically on versatile topics and go into depth.
Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten
MA or BA in Textile & Clothing Technology, either in progress or completed or in comparable degree programs such as: Design, Product Design, Material Sciences or Mechanical Engineering or an education as bespoke tailer or pattern maker
Solid sewing & garment making skills (theoretically & practically); experiences in the manufacturing methods of functional clothing would be a plus
Ability to generate solution-oriented ideas and to prepare them visually for a presentation to an audience
Prototyping methods: Ability to use different approaches to develop garment solutions
Knowledge in creating technical sketches in Illustrator
Know how in textile testing against standards as well as in analyzing test results and preparing them for a presentation to an audience
Curious, reliable, diligent and open personality with a holistic way of thinking
Being able to combine strong creative skills with solid and precise scientific working methods
Strong transparent communications skills in English, German would be desirable
Strong knowledge in MS Office and Adobe Illustrator, experience with Figma and Survey tools like Google Forms, CAD Assyst and VStitcher are a plus
Experience in working with typical machines used in the manufacture of outdoor clothing, such as laser cutters and seam sealing machines would be desirable
Experience in working with typical test devices used for textile testing like Hydrostatic Head and Microscope would be desirable
