Associate Principal Scientist Extractables & Leachables

Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten
Perform and supervise Extractables & Leachables (EL) laboratory studies (HS-GC-MS, GC-MS, LC-UV-MS) to support DPS projects, as well as perform services for external customers. Perform and supervise EL assessments according to Lonza internal procedures and best scientific practices. Supervise lab scientists and interns. Ensure effective use of resources (time, people, equipment and materials). Review and approve data, and compile protocols, reports and SOPs. Enable innovation and technical strategy projects, generate intellectual property, as well as evaluate and implement new technologies as required. Closely interact with the other functions across Forensic Chemistry, DPS and the wider Lonza network. Supervise installation, qualification and maintenance of instruments in DPS Forensic Chemistry according to current best practices and regulations.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten
PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
Substantial work experience and background in hyphenated analytical methodologies
Good working knowledge in all relevant analytical techniques
Experience in reporting, interpretation and documentation of complex analytical data
Demonstrated scientific leadership
Good communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
