Senior QA Engineer

Execute system level tests on real machines, validating end-to-end functionality from a user perspective. Perform manual regression testing on a fixed, regular interval to ensure system stability. Conduct exploratory testing after feature completion, extending testing beyond individual stories or bug fixes to the full system. Collaborate closely with developers in an agile Scrum environment. Support shift-left system testing by defining and writing necessary system tests early during story implementation. Gradually support the evolution towards more efficient, reliable, and structured testing approaches, including future automation and analysis activities, such as: Test gap analysis, Redundancy and coverage analysis, Exploration of AI-assisted testing approaches.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing or quality assurance

• Strong hands-on experience with manual system and end-to-end testing

• Experience testing complex software systems, ideally involving real hardware or integrated systems

• Proven experience working in an agile setup (SCRUM)

• Experience collaborating with international, distributed teams with strong overlap to European time zones

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and quality

• Strong experience in manual system, regression, and exploratory testing

• Experience validating functionality from a user and workflow perspective

• Solid understanding of software development life cycles and testing within agile teams

• Hands-on experience with UI testing frameworks (Cypress preferred)

• Ability to create, execute, and maintain structured test cases and test documentation

• Experience identifying, analyzing, and clearly reporting defects

• Solid understanding of test concepts such as test levels, test types, and test coverage

• Strong interest in and active exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and techniques

• Experience with test coverage or quality analysis tools

• Exposure to test automation and CI/CD test execution

• Exposure to complex systems such as industrial, embedded, or mechatronic systems

• Basic familiarity with Linux environments is a plus
