Lead and execute the EMEA Healthcare Compliance strategy in alignment with DePuy Synthes global compliance objectives. Serve as a strategic advisor to EMEA senior leaders on compliance risks, mitigation strategies, and business decisions. Oversee compliance programs related to commercial, medical, and customer engagement activities across EMEA markets. Partner with Legal, Medical Affairs, Quality, Finance, and other functions to identify, assess, and manage regional compliance risks. Guide investigations, issue management, and remediation activities in collaboration with Legal and Ethics & Compliance teams. Ensure effective monitoring, auditing, and reporting processes to support continuous improvement and risk reduction. Lead, coach, and develop a team of HCC professionals across the region, fostering a strong culture of integrity and accountability. Support business transformation initiatives and new market models by embedding compliance into strategic planning and execution.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business, healthcare, life sciences, or a related field (Required)

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s degree, or Juris Doctor) (Preferred)

  • Minimum 10–12 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, regulatory, or risk management roles within life sciences or MedTech (Required)

  • Demonstrated experience leading healthcare compliance programs across multiple countries or regions (Required)

  • Strong knowledge of EMEA healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes (e.g., EFPIA, MedTech Europe) (Required)

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive compliant decision‑making in complex, matrixed organizations (Required)

  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high‑performing regional teams (Required)

  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment (Required)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills (Required)

  • Experience supporting Orthopedics or MedTech commercial organizations (Preferred)

  • Prior regional or global compliance leadership experience (Preferred)

  • Experience working in Switzerland, Germany, or broader EMEA markets (Preferred)

  • Background supporting business transformation, divestitures, or organizational change (Preferred)

  • Professional compliance or legal certification (e.g., CHC) (Preferred)

  • Fluency in English required; German and/or additional European languages preferred (Language)

  • Up to 25–30% international travel within EMEA (Travel)

  • Valid driver’s license required, where applicable (Driver’s License)
