Server Engineer

Gather and prioritize infrastructure requirements from projects and business stakeholders Design, implement and maintain server and storage infrastructure Prepare and review technical specifications Represent server infrastructure in IT projects and governance meetings Collaborate closely with network, security and application teams Manage the server asset inventory and infrastructure lifecycle Plan capacity, investments and hardware replacement Coordinate supplier selection and procurement activities Define infrastructure standards (Windows Server, Linux, VMware, patch management, virtualization) Maintain accurate technical documentation Provide 2nd level support across Switzerland Coordinate 3rd level support with the Group IT teams Manage external infrastructure providers Proactively communicate risks, issues and improvement opportunities
