Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten

You decide on the technical content and timelines for the development of new engine components, as well as improvements to existing components, in accordance with Project Management. You define the technical specifications of components to be developed and their key operating parameters. You work in a cross-functional team to ensure that the chosen technologies and specifications match project requirements (Design, Engine Tests, Electronics, Project Management). You support FMEA processes and update and follow up on internal and external engine test activities. You regularly work with suppliers on technology surveys, component development, and tear-down activities. You define maintenance requirements for the subsystem and report its development status to the platform manager. You define the master Design and Validation Plan for the subsystem and prepare technical releases for components under development.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • You are passionate about combustion engines and motivated to shape the performance and durability of our next‑generation diesel engines

  • You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • You have advanced knowledge in the field of combustion engines, DVP&Nr; methodology, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving

  • You have extensive experience in the development of cast iron parts, including manufacturing processes, design-for-casting and failure modes

  • You have a proven background in engine development, including component design, materials, and a solid understanding of thermo‑mechanical behavior of cylinder heads and crank cases, including heat transfer

  • You have an excellent command of English and good knowledge of French or German

  • You have an excellent command of MS Office

  • You define yourself as an analytical thinker with strong leadership skills. You approach your work with flexibility and resilience, while remaining mindful of cost and resources
