Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten

Shape and further develop Group-wide Liability underwriting standards, policy wordings, clauses, and best-practice approaches across European units. Establish a consistent underwriting framework with clear governance, reporting, and decision-making processes. Act as a key expert for complex Liability risks, providing technical guidance and supporting underwriting decisions beyond local authority levels. Drive profitable growth by contributing to local business cases, market strategies, portfolio analytics, pricing methodologies, and performance monitoring. Strengthen collaboration across the Group by connecting local units, Claims, Reinsurance, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, and other specialist teams. Recruit, onboard, and lead one supporting FTE within the Liability CoE following the successful establishment of the function. Build Liability expertise through internal knowledge sharing and tailored training initiatives. Represent Helvetia in relevant national and international Liability insurance forums, associations, conferences, and industry working groups.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • Extensive Liability underwriting expertise across the full insurance value chain, including product development, pricing, underwriting, claims, portfolio management, and reinsurance fundamentals.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Corporate Liability Insurance, ideally covering General Liability, Product Liability, Professional Indemnity, Financial Lines, and/or Specialty Liability lines.

  • Proven experience in Upper Mid-Market and Corporate business, preferably in an international or cross-border environment.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement initiatives, drive change, and contribute to profitable business growth.

  • Strong analytical and portfolio management skills, combined with sound commercial judgment and a data-driven approach.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, collaborate, and build trust across countries, cultures, and business units.

  • A genuine passion for Liability Insurance, technical excellence, and international collaboration; fluent English is required, while German and other European languages are an advantage.
