Intern Treasury Technology

Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten

As part of our collaborative team, you will be contributing your skills across a myriad of technical areas, including: leading requirements gathering on the project demand list, building a unified data model to transform raw data from multiple underlying Treasury solutions into clean usable datasets for reporting and analytics, supporting the building of a corporate Snowflake instance for Treasury specific data, supporting implementation work on ongoing technology implementations, providing insight training to Treasury employees on technology topics, such as AI. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Treasury Global Process Owner and Middle Office Team, as well as each of the Treasury Workstreams (incl. e.g. internal controls, data cleansing and report generation, etc.).

Team / Beschreibung

ABB’s Corporate Treasury department in Zurich is the backbone of the ABB Group’s worldwide financial infrastructure, managing and executing financial transaction for the Group (debt capital markets, cash management etc.), acting as an inhouse-bank within the ABB Group and supporting ABB’s business with various financial services and products (incl. Foreign Currency and Commodity Hedging, Export and Trade Finance solutions, etc.). The department owns and is supported by several key IT systems/solutions, including among others a Treasury Management System, Guarantee Management System as well as centralized Cash Management Solution.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • You will soon finish or have finished your bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, preferable with a specialization in data science/analysis, within the next/past 12 months

  • You are interested in discovering more about financial transactions, finance processes and related data consumed and produced by a large multinational in the Treasury space

  • You have experience in data modelling, database design, data analysis, requirements engineering and have worked with systems/solutions to enable this (SQL, ADF, Snowflake)

  • Any experience in working with Power BI, Treasury Management Systems (ION Wallstreet), SAP and other Treasury applications, is a plus.

  • You demonstrate analytical and organizational skills, are a quick and efficient learner, and build strong relationships within teams

  • You are based in Zurich and hold a current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from your university

  • You are proficient in English and have effective communication skills
