Sales Support Specialist

In this role, you will support ABB Switzerland’s local sales organization as well as our customers throughout the entire quotation process in the field of drive technology. You will act as the central technical point of contact within your area of responsibility and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. Your responsibilities include optimally sizing products for customers to best meet their requirements and applicable standards. In addition, you will calculate costs and prepare quotations with the relevant technical information. You will apply your technical expertise in a targeted manner and make a significant contribution to the successful preparation of proposals. Technical consulting & solution development: You support sales and customers in selecting technically optimal and economically viable solutions for drive and automation systems. End-to-end quotation management: You prepare and calculate technical and commercial quotations and support them through to successful completion. Analysis & optimization: You analyze customer needs, market and competitor information, as well as lost opportunities, and derive targeted improvement measures. Collaboration & quality assurance: You work closely with sales, business units, and other stakeholders and ensure compliance with quality, compliance, and HSE standards.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten
Completed technical education (e.g., automation technician, electronics technician, automation specialist, or similar)
Several years of professional experience (min. 5 years) in sales support, sales, or project environments
Very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken
Strong customer orientation and excellent communication skills
Analytical mindset and understanding of markets and processes
Initiative, structured way of working, and assertiveness
Advantageous: French language skills and further education at HF level (e.g., certified technician HF)
