Designer for Superconducting Magnet Development

Mechanical CAD design and prototype construction of high temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets Leading and contributing to the manufacturing and assembly of the designed prototypes Process development and hands on contribution for the winding of superconducting coils Conventional machining (drilling, turning and milling) of simple parts Procurement of parts and raw materials

• You have successfully passed vocational training as a designer (Konstrukteur*in) or a proven equivalent education/experience

• You have excellent practical skills and are familiar with prototype development and construction

• You have experience with the procurement of parts

• You are motivated to learn intricate procedures in new disciplines

• You look forward to work in an international team and have good command in English

• German skills and experience in 3D printing (FFF) are a plus
