Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten

We offer a comprehensive and diverse neonatal training and practice experience, including: Care of more than 900 neonatal admissions per year, including extremely preterm and complex term infants (surgical and cardiac); Management of both inborn and outborn newborns with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions; Participation in neonatal emergency transport services; Antenatal consultations and multidisciplinary fetal care; A strong culture of teamwork, mentorship, and structured onboarding. Postgraduate education is well established and includes: Grand rounds as well as nutrition and neurodevelopmental and ethical rounds; Fetology rounds; Morbidity and mortality reviews; Journal clubs; Clinical case presentations; Simulation-based training programs. Supervision is provided by a team of eight experienced neonatologists, with expertise in neonatal neurology, nutrition, infectious diseases, hemodynamics, developmental follow-up, and neonatal resuscitation.

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of five Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and the EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the areas of medical care, medical research and training. The Clinic of Neonatology at CHUV is the largest neonatal unit in Switzerland, with 40 beds, more than 900 newborn patients cared for each year, and over 3000 deliveries annually. We provide highly specialized neonatal care in a stimulating academic environment, offering excellent opportunities for professional development, teaching, and research.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • Previous experience in a Level III NICU is mandatory (6 months at least)

  • Experience in PICU is an advantage and strongly recommended

  • FMH specialization in Pediatrics (or equivalent) preferred

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit required

  • Board certification or equivalent qualification in Neonatology

  • French language proficiency at **B2 level** is mandatory
