CERN Organisation Européenne pour la Recherche Nucléaire
Junior Survey Engineer
📍 Geneva
Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten
Participate in the design, development and qualification of high-precision alignment system concepts, working in close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team of the HI-ECN3 project. Prepare and check the quality of inputs (theoretical beamline trajectories, installation drawing, component geometrical data). Carry out geometrical measurements of components or prototypes using standard 3D geodetic techniques, such as laser tracker systems, and provide technical support to the equipment owner. Conduct survey activities, including network measurements, installation tasks, and alignment processes, from the preparation to realisation of interventions. Perform data processing using a 3D least-squares adjustment application as well as preparing technical documentation and presenting results. Contribute to the group's research and development activities related to alignment monitoring systems (e.g. ATS800, robotic platforms, robotic tracing, Universal Alignment Platform), and participate in the development, testing and maintenance of in-house surveying software applications.
Team / Beschreibung
