Intern Embedded Implementation of Advanced HVAC Controllers

📍 8340 Hinwil

Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten

The intern's primary responsibility will be to analyze, implement, deploy and validate controllers on physical HVAC systems. Starting from existing advanced algorithms implemented in MATLAB/Simulink, they will prepare controller implementations for code generation, adjust as necessary the existing Raspberry Pi and Linux environment, integrate hardware interfaces and evaluate the closed-loop performance experimentally. Insights gained from the deployment and validation of these methods on the test hardware will then be used by the intern to suggest algorithmic improvements, targeting better energy efficiency and overall control performance.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy control algorithms from Simulink to Raspberry Pi-based embedded platforms

Configure and maintain embedded systems, including Linux runtime, deployment, and data logging

Integrate sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces into complete closed-loop systems

Design and execute experiments to evaluate control performance, robustness, and computational efficiency

Troubleshoot and optimize system reliability across software, communication, and hardware layers
