Role and responsibilities

The Control Specialist will help execute the quality control framework in the second line of defense focusing on areas of the client lifecycle. Execute and maintain the control plans on the Client Lifecycle (onboarding, mutation, periodical review and AML alerts). Review at a client file level the quality and effectiveness of the controls performed on all aspects (Generation of Wealth, documentation, corroboration, and KYT). Communicate deficiencies in controls, quality and recommend corrective actions and improvements. Contribute to follow-up on the timely implementation of recommendations and actions plans. Work closely with Compliance, BRM and KYC Review Team to ensure resolution of issues. Participate in ad-hoc projects and data analysis upon request by senior management. Help to produce quality control reports. Help to create and maintain team procedures, annual assurance plans and testing scripts. Help to collaborate with the bank's internal and external auditors.
