Strategic Buyer – Direct Materials

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends and best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with overall business goals Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines, and continuous supplier development Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements Negotiate contracts and coordinate supplier integration plans with internal clients Monitor market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing Partner with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, support product development projects, identify demand, supply and market trends

• Master’s degree in science and supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably in a senior role

• Proven negotiation and contract management skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in procurement software and tools, including SAP4HANA

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Fluent in German and English
