Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten
Support the setting of Group strategy and the conceptualization and delivery of initiatives to realize goals including adding to Business Operating Profit (“BOP”) [100m p.a. in five years] with a mid-teens IRR as per internal guidelines while managing capital strain (Risk Based Capital requirement) to an acceptable level. Drive – and support as needed – the development and/or organization of technical tools for liability cash flow generation, asset cash flow generation as well as capital and risk assessment. The tools may be developed in the team, by the BU or in combination, but need to be available for use by the team or by other units or Group departments. Drive technical analytics and Act as an analytics bridge between Savings & Retirement, BUs and Group Departments to facilitate sharing of data and tooling. This includes, but is not limited to, mortality data and related demographic analysis that is useful to prudently assess and grow the Savings & Retirement business. Drive the development of a Centre Of Expertise for product and capital modelling including risk structuring and financing capabilities. Expertise means ability to develop when needed, but also to share and use what already exists where it is fit for purpose. Explore potential funding solutions, internal and external, for the purpose of reducing Group and BU capital strain while maintaining profitability and keeping BOP above an absolute threshold. Support – and drive where needed – required capital methodology and risk assessments working closely with Risk and Actuarial teams. Support, and drive where needed, execution of projects working closely with the Proposition team members to ensure useful and needed tooling is in place to quantify risks and financial flows. Challenge constructively and creatively, helping teams converge on clear decisions and pragmatic solutions.
Team / Beschreibung
The Capital Efficient Savings & Retirement team is part of the Savings & Retirement team which is part of Life, Health and Bank Distribution. Our focus is on on-balance sheet products that may carry significant capital amounts and finding ways to efficiently provide these through the BUs so we can grow our life business and retain more customers as they move from the accumulation to the decumulation phases of life. The team has a flat structure and is effectively organized in two parts (where clearly there is some overlap and the intention is not to silo tasks, but to help organize work): Proposition and Structuring Analytics.
