Take the lead in global trade compliance at Tecan! You’ll ensure we meet all international trade laws and regulations, drive strategic initiatives, and keep our leadership informed of new compliance requirements. As a key team leader, you’ll guide our Trade Compliance Specialists, collaborate across departments, and help shape efficient, digitalized processes. You’ll also be the go-to expert for authorities, customers, and suppliers, and play a vital role in cross-functional projects. Ensure 100% compliance with trade laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate risks, prevent violations and shipment delays. Improve processes and train staff for flawless import/export documentation. Keep policies up-to-date and licenses current. Build strong global relationships across Tecan. Guide new markets, products, and business models for safe growth. Foster a proactive, ethical compliance culture. Optimize customs procedures and drive digitalization. Responsible for leading, motivating, and developing team members to ensure high performance and the achievement of departmental objectives and company goals.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten
Bachelor’s degree in Business Economy, International Trade Law, or similar (Master’s preferred)
5+ years’ experience in trade compliance, import/export, or customs
In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations (EAR, customs, sanctions, embargos)
Min 2 years of proven team management experience
Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, Certified Export Specialist)
Master Data Management expertise (COO, HS Codes, Preference Calculation)
Fluent in English & German
Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills
Process-driven, detail-oriented, and highly organized
Collaborative and independent in a multicultural environment
Proficient in SAP, GTS, MS Office
Effective cross-functional influencer
