Associate Customer Product Manager

As a Customer Product Manager, you will be the primary liaison for coordinating and driving our Partnering Business partner products — with a special focus on customized solutions based on platform products— with all internal and external stakeholders. You will support the Partnering Business sales teams in contractual and pricing negotiations, outline value propositions, and drive alignment sessions. Your role involves managing trade-offs between client business demands, product life cycle stages, and Tecan business needs to create win/win positions. You will also contribute to the development of the Customer Product Management team with entrepreneurial thinking and market insights. Manage and oversee all day-to-day lifecycle and operational aspects for assigned projects and products, including business and quality review meetings, regular conference calls, and product change management. Drive customer satisfaction and support Tecan’s Partnering Business marketing, financial, and growth objectives through operational excellence and proactive life cycle management. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and maintain relevant product documentation. Monitor and manage product forecasting, orders, and deliveries, and drive necessary actions in alignment with key stakeholders. Lead the Product Care Team, manage product-related KPIs, and ensure on-time delivery of agreed items. Support the sales organization in preparing and negotiating contracts, and monitor contract expirations and obligations. Provide cross-functional guidance and support for the teams, and spot and identify client trends. Play a key role in efficiently managing the lifecycle of platform-based products by applying established processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, or Engineering, with further education in Product Management or Business Administration.

  • Experience in liquid handling and robotics, clinical diagnostics, and/or life science business.

  • Experience in highly complex system development, supporting system sales activities, and product/lifecycle management.

  • Proficiency in English; German would be an asset.

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in executing complex contracts.

  • High natural authority, power of persuasion, and ability to handle rapidly changing market and customer situations.

  • Team-oriented, entrepreneurial thinking, persistent, reliable, and self-motivated.

  • Willingness to travel worldwide (5-10%).
