Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing Software Product Management team through clear direction, coaching, and succession planning. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-accountability team culture. Champion customer insight and competitive awareness as the foundation for all software product decisions. Drive Tecan’s software strategy and product roadmap, balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform health. Serve as the dedicated product counterpart for software architecture within R&D;, ensuring business-defined requirements are met. Serve as the product voice in architectural decisions across all software layers, ensuring control, orchestration, middleware, applications, and integrations align with business-defined requirements. Lead build vs. buy vs. partner evaluations for software components and platform capabilities.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • A degree in Software/Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.

  • 5–7+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Medical Devices, or hardware-related industries.

  • Strong leadership experience, including hiring, developing, and managing teams.

  • Experience with lab informatics ecosystems (LIMS, ELN, integration standards such as SiLA2, OPC-UA, or similar).

  • Deep technical understanding of APIs, distributed systems, middleware, orchestration, and embedded systems.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; German or other languages are a plus.

  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution and a goal-oriented mindset.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, GDPR).

  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
