Define and deploy Lonza’s global marketing strategy across all business platforms, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and growth objectives. Lead segmentation, value proposition development, messaging architecture, and customer-centric marketing strategies across the CDMO portfolio. Partner closely with Business Platforms to align marketing activities with portfolio priorities, product lifecycles, and customer needs. Translate market intelligence and customer insights into differentiated commercial narratives and go-to-market strategies. Co-own and steward the Lonza global brand, ensuring consistent positioning, governance, and application across all channels and regions. Strengthen Lonza’s reputation and visibility through compelling brand storytelling, executive communications, and customer-facing content. Lead the global marketing operations function, including campaign governance, budgeting, KPI management, reporting, and operational standardization. Drive digital marketing strategy across demand generation, SEO/SEM, paid media, social media, account-based marketing, and digital customer engagement initiatives. Partner with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance marketing systems, MarTech capabilities, analytics, and digital maturity across the organization. Lead commercial enablement initiatives by developing customer-facing materials, sales tools, and insight-driven commercial storytelling frameworks. Establish robust analytics, dashboards, and KPI frameworks to measure marketing effectiveness, ROI, pipeline contribution, and operational performance. Develop and lead a high-performing global marketing organization, fostering collaboration, capability building, and continuous improvement across teams.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • Extensive senior marketing leadership experience within life sciences, pharma, biotech, CDMO, or other complex B2B industries

  • Proven track record leading global marketing organizations, strategic transformations, and integrated marketing initiatives at scale

  • Strong expertise across multiple marketing disciplines including strategic marketing, branding, digital marketing, marketing operations, and commercial excellence

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate customer and market insights into impactful growth strategies

  • Deep understanding of brand stewardship, value proposition development, and customer-centric marketing approaches

  • Strong digital marketing expertise with experience in MarTech ecosystems, marketing automation, analytics, and digital engagement strategies

  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across complex, matrixed organizations

  • Proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing global teams

  • Strong operational discipline with experience standardizing processes, governance models, and scalable ways of working

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MSc, life sciences, or related field) preferred

  • Fluency in English required
