Rolle und Verantwortlichkeiten

Provide medical and scientific leadership for DePuy Synthes orthopedic products within Germany, ensuring alignment with global and regional Clinical Medical Affairs strategies. Serve as a trusted medical partner to healthcare professionals, including surgeons and key opinion leaders, through compliant scientific exchange and clinical discussions. Support the development, execution, and oversight of clinical evidence generation activities, including investigator-initiated studies and post-market clinical follow-up. Review and contribute medical input to promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy, balance, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Regulatory, Quality, and R&D teams to support product launches, lifecycle management, and risk management activities. Support medical education programs, advisory boards, and congress activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Monitor and interpret clinical literature, guidelines, and market trends to provide actionable insights that inform medical and business strategy. Ensure adherence to Johnson & Johnson Credo values, Medical Affairs governance, and all applicable compliance standards.

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten

  • Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, or MSc in life sciences).

  • 6-8 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, or a related scientific role within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical research methodologies, evidence generation, and post-market clinical activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage in high-quality scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.

  • Solid understanding of regulatory, compliance, and ethical standards governing Medical Affairs activities in Germany and the EU.

  • Proven cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data into clear insights.

  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
